If you're human, have a job, pay bills, are in (or want to be in) relationships, concerned over succeeding or fearing failure, have a boss, have work goals/expectations, raise kids...you have stress. Our society is continuing to move faster and expect more.
Statistics are staggering about the impact of stress on our physical and psychological states.
- Up to 70% of all healthcare visits are due to symptoms or conditions exacerbated by stress
- 77% of people regularly experience physical or psychological symptoms caused by stress
- 76% of people cited financial concerns, job insecurity and work pressures as the leading causes of their stress
Mindfulness meditation has been around for thousands of years. But it's only in the last 40 years that it's been studied deeply to know the physical and psychological benefits to a meditation practice in terms of reducing stress and allowing our bodies the chance to heal themselves. This practice can reduce stress, bring calm to your life and help us all become less "reactive".
I've been practicing it twice a day for the last 6+ years. It has been transformative in my life. What do you have to lose? You've tried everything else...even the "unproductive stuff".
Get in touch with me if you'd like me to teach you personally in a private session, in the group setting I teach every other month at The Seton Cove or bring a mindfulness meditation to your place of work.
It's time now for a little peace of mind, isn't it?
